Building a Rapid Response COVID-19 Website with Marketing Web Standards

Problem

Google wanted to support the COVID-19 crisis and connect it to its mission, to organize the world’s information and make it universally accessible and useful.

Solution

  • A group within Brand Studio came together to add useful information leveraging Google technology, using Marketing Web Standards. Note I was not involved in writing or making this website, but build the framework behind it.

Results

  • In one day, a team of people were able to put together this emergency website using our Marketing Web Standards guidelines and technology.

Google’s COVID-19 website was built using the web standards I supported.

By providing an elegant solution to build websites quickly and easily, a team was able to create useful resource that adhered to Google’s brand standards, letting users know it was a trusted place to gather information during a time of uncertainty.
