Cutting through the noise with thought leadership and a format that moves people

How I repackaged a year and a half’s worth of thought leadership, case studies, executive insights, and partner quotes into a magazine.

What I did

Project

  • Role: Creative Director, Writer, Editor, Director of Marketing

  • Company: Built.io

Problem

Built.io began its event marketing program and had made some headway in its connected sports vertical. It needed to make a big impression at a new-to-us event.

Solution

  • As Director of Marketing and acting Creative Director, I pitched a concept of repackaging all of our relevant though leadership, case studies, partner quotes, and executive insights into an eye-catching magazine that people could pick up and read.

  • As the lead on the editorial and content program on a small and scrappy team, I also wrote, ghostwrote, and edited almost all of the collateral.

Impact

  • The magazine drove 20 MQLs that turned into 5 SQLs and ultimately became business.
