Sometimes the best way to tell a story is to mix up the medium.

I leveraged visuals in an infographic to help tell our mobile story and position Sauce as a leader in the industry.

What I did

Infographic for the state of mobile testing campaign

  • Role: Writer, Content Strategist

  • Company: Sauce Labs

  • year: 2014

Problem

Sauce Labs wanted to expand to the enterprise space and be seen as a trusted thought leader. As a startup with funding and an already sizable audience, we had the means to ask meaningful questions and share the findings. But sticking with surveys and reports was only one way to get the word out about our findings.

Solution

Part of the content strategy for Sauce Labs was to use more visual mediums to help explain complex ideas. The hypothesis was that it would help us reach our new audience by breaking down difficult ideas, and that this would increase engagement and expand into new markets.

The infographic lived on the blog, but the visuals were also sliced up for social and led back to the link to help drive views and engagement.

This infographic was a thought leadership piece that I put together based on a survey we administered. I worked with a design agency, broke down the story, wrote the copy, and led the creative direction and strategy for this piece.
